Redcastle Family School

Year 5 Blog

Welcome back for the Summer Term! Thank you for supporting the children with their Space homework. We have some amazing models which are now on the wall in the classroom. We also had a Space Day to launch our topic for this term. The photographs below show us practising to be astronauts.

Remember this way back then.

Look at these photos of our Theatre Royal Trip in October last year.

Cooking with the Reception Class

We had fun cooking with the youngest children in our school and here are some of our achievements.

One of us volunteered to have a turban tied.

Then we were taught about the British Empire and how to make chapattis (Indian flat bread).

After this, we met Lord Taylor who taught us all about the Maharajah and his life.

Finally, we were Victorian servants and handled some of the artefacts that the servants in the Maharajah's household would have used.
