Starting School

What an exciting start to Reception class. We are very impressed how the children have settled in and how hard they have worked on learning the rules and routines in Reception.

The children have been busy exploring our classrooms and the outside area. There has been lots of amazing learning taking place with the children taking responsibility for their own learning by choosing activities.

In our Numeracy lessons we have been learning about our numbers to 10. 

In our Topic lessons we have been learning 'All about me'. We have been thinking about our familes and who lives in our homes. 

We have also had busy afternoon's with our first cooking lesson and music lesson with our music teacher Mrs Carruthers. 

Mrs Paynter, Mrs Price and Mrs Wright have been assesing the children for their basline assessment, which will continue for the next few weeks.
